Making Space - Charity

“We are delighted to be working with Storage Management Company on this community project and hope, with your help, to assist many more individuals affected by mental health conditions. If your business needs storage boxes, please buy one of ours as every penny donated to `Making Space` makes a real difference to someone's life.”

Wyn Jones, Director of Finance

Every storage box we sell will make a real difference

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy (CSR) we understand our business has an impact on the wider world. We have a responsibility, which goes way beyond the minimum legal requirements and following straightforward principles.

We are again working with a wonderful and worthy charity based in the North West of England, `Making Space`. We hope during the year to help as much as we can by donating a percentage of the profit from each storage box we sell to Making Space

Since 1982, Making Space has been working with people affected by mental health conditions, and with their carers, to help them shape their lives based on their own personal aspirations and circumstances. Today this approach is called 'personalisation' - something that all Making Space services strive to deliver with dignity, compassion, humanity and, whenever appropriate, a sense of humour.

Throughout England and Wales, more than 800 people are directly employed by Making Space in providing the most appropriate care services to assist with the wellbeing of people affected by mental ill health, dementia or learning disabilities.

What comes across when you meet Making Space is how proud they are of what they do. They are now implementing an ambitious growth plan to extend services across the entire UK, aiming to give personalised support to many more people. This service extends not just to those dealing with their own mental health issues, but the people who care for them too.
